Historical Renewal and a Hub for Creativity
Paitlovitch House, located at 10 Vitkin Street in Tel Aviv, is a historically significant building that has undergone a comprehensive renovation and renewal. The building was transformed to serve as "Tel Aviv Tarbut Beta Israel" – a vibrant urban center for contemporary creation and culture. As part of the project, the interior spaces were upgraded to meet modern standards, an accessible entrance was established, and a welcoming "urban living room" was designed on the ground floor, connecting to a spacious, green landscaped courtyard.
A Warm Home for Ethiopian Community Artists
In the spirit of Faitlovitch's legacy, the primary purpose of the renewed building is to promote and nurture professional artists from the Ethiopian community, providing them with a space for support, knowledge, and creation. The new interior layout was carefully divided and currently includes private artist studios, an acoustic room, an exhibition gallery, and an active roof, all designed to host artist residency programs and professional workshops. The new center aims to be a meeting place that encourages the weaving of professional networks, strengthens personal and community identity, and enriches artistic endeavors in the Tel Aviv area.
