A Spiritual Anchor in the Heart of Urban Renewal
Located on Givati Street in Bat Yam, the Aderet Yeshiva project forms part of the city's evolving urban fabric. The project was initiated to renew and expand the longstanding institution, allowing it to accommodate a growing community while responding to the contemporary character of the surrounding neighborhood. The program includes a yeshiva high school, a central study hall, and student dormitories. The design focuses on creating a comfortable and functional environment for students and staff, with natural light serving as a central architectural element. The façades are defined by clean lines and a restrained material palette combining rigid cladding with plaster, giving the building a dignified and contemporary presence within the streetscape. The project was conceived not as an enclosed educational institution, but as a civic building with a clear relationship to the street. At the same time, its spatial organization maintains the sense of privacy and concentration essential to Torah study and daily yeshiva life.
