Renewal in the Heart of Tel Aviv
Beit Tami, located in the heart of Tel Aviv adjacent to Shenkin Park, is a veteran and significant community center for the area's residents. As part of the renewal and expansion project, the building underwent a comprehensive, ground-up renovation, which included reinforcing the framework against earthquakes, adding protective shelter solutions and emergency stairs, ensuring full accessibility, and upgrading the facades. The project revitalized the center's appearance and adapted it to contemporary standards, while redesigning the interior spaces and transforming them into modern, welcoming activity rooms tailored to the community's needs.
Expanding the Building and Diversifying Community Activity
The highlight of the project was the construction of a new top floor, which was added to the building and currently serves as a multi-purpose auditorium with 197 seats. In addition, the renewed interior planning incorporated diverse community functions spread across the floors, including learning spaces, spacious dance studios, a new entrance lobby, as well as an early childhood center featuring a playroom and a lactation clinic. The architectural design emphasized the harmonious integration of the renewed building into the urban environment of the Lev Tel Aviv neighborhood, aiming to allow it to continue serving as a bustling hub of culture and leisure.
