White City Heritage for Contemporary Living
The project focuses on Pilz House, a historic residential building constructed in 1938 in the International Style and reflecting the architectural principles of Tel Aviv's "White City": simplicity, clarity, and geometric precision. The intervention sought to preserve the building's historic character while reinforcing and adapting it for contemporary residential use, together with a substantial vertical extension. Developed in collaboration with Kimmel-Eshkolot Architects, the project included the careful restoration of the original façade and the addition of two and a half new floors, designed in relation to the proportions of the existing building. The renewed structure accommodates 12 spacious residential units, with private outdoor spaces including sun terraces and timber decks, as well as a swimming pool overlooking the sea.
